I am just confussed and don,t understand Indians in Malaysia are always address as non malays. This may not be suitable for those who are born after Merdeka .I am truly a Malaysian as I was born after Merdeka.
Dear Sharas, personally, I don't see any problem with this Malay/non-Malay categorization. It is just that, a method of classificiation and identification, for convenience. Just like male/female, Muslim/non, income level, etc. Different category of people may have different needs and problems; and categorization helps to make these easily identifiable and attended to. As long as categorization is not used as a way to supress one side or give unfair advantage to either side, should be ok. By the way, what's your opinion about your MB's boss (Nik Aziz) latest statement (yesterday's news)? He said converts (to Islam) need only inform their family after their conversion, since religion is a personal matter. What d'you think about that?
